Brixton LU6.2 Application Programmatic Interface (API) supports thedevelopment of customized APPC/CPI-C transaction programs that can beused by PC/Windows and UNIX workstation users to communicate with IBMmainframe and AS/400 applications.Flexible APIs for TPRM and CPI-C Transaction Programs-Brixton LU6.2 supports IBM's Advanced Program-to-Program Communications(APPC ) architecture, where two transaction programs use well-definedfunctions provided by the SNA LU6.2 protocols to establish conversationsand exchange data. Programmers can use the LU6.2 Transaction Verb Set (asdefined in IBM's SNA Transaction Programmer's Reference Manual - TPRM) orthe industry standard X/Open CPI-C interface to communicate via APPCconversations.
